Beaumonts sells nothing but top-quality Hybrid floating floors. A type of hard flooring unlike other floating floors, they are water resistant, so no more mopping mishaps or freaking out over water spills. Our hybrid flooring options feature a look from our oak hybrid flooring or blackbutt hybrid flooring range for outstanding performance in high-touch areas of your home.
They are a brilliant solution for homes with kids and pets. The wear layer is an excellent 0.55mm; the hybrid floor tiles are up for the challenge to stand the test of time. They are so good; they come with a lifetime residential warranty!
Choosing a hybrid flooring material isn’t a simple decision to make as there are many factors that will appeal to each type of flooring. It really comes down to your highest priorities; comfort, acoustics, long-term durability, water resistance, or a personal style preference.
The hands-down winner comparison of Hybrid flooring next to Tiles is all in the installation. It has lower installation costs, and the whole process is quicker.
With a solid timber floor, when it comes to spills and moisture, timber is much more likely to buckle, and should never be installed in wet areas like a kitchen or laundry. Hybrid flooring on the other hand has been designed to withstand the moisture and spills from a busy family kitchen.
Hybrid is a solid contender on everyone’s flooring list, with its ease of cleaning, scratch resistance, and technology to protect against bacteria. But one that is hard to beat is the Lifetime residential warranty to give you the peace of mind that you have made the right choice.
Beaumonts specialises in the SP Core type of Hybrid:
Hybrid SPcore: Experience cutting-edge, water-resistant hybrid flooring, fortified with a compact and robust core made from stone-based polymers. Other features include:
Hybrid flooring brings together the advantages of most of the flooring choices out there and manages to avoid most of the weaknesses too. Hybrid flooring is affordable, durable, and easy to install, it's water-resistant scratch-resistant, and 100% VOC/Phylate free. The only thing is that the hybrid flooring may not have as long-term durability as Tiles, and they might be thicker than other floating floor options with all their layers. Hybrid Flooring must not be used in bathrooms, shower cubicles, laundries or toilets.
This is a difficult one to answer as there are quite a few layers to Hybrid floating floorboards. Beaumonts specialises in the SP Core type of Hybrid: Multi-layer protective coating which includes an anti-bacterial finish, decorative layer with structure, a stone based polymer core that is water-resistant, the tight lock click system layer, and sound absorbing pad.

Hybrid flooring has click-locking technology. A patented interlocking system that makes installation faster with a very strong connection between the boards. Hybrid Flooring must not be used in bathrooms, shower cubicles, laundries or toilets.
The SP Core Hybrid flooring range is totally water-resistant, Hybrid floorboards click together nice and snug, but moisture can still get in between the floorboards. They are not a moisture barrier for areas such as a shower cubicle.
Importantly, a plank can always be waterproof on its own, but that doesn’t necessarily mean your floor will be fully waterproof once laid (unlike a tiled floor). That’s why we say water-resistant when talking about hard flooring (in fact, it’s a requirement in the building industry)!
As hybrid is water-resistant, it can be wet mopped with a micro fibre mop, simply clean with any PH Neutral cleaner. Make sure it’s not boiling hot. We recommend a BONA mop and cleaning products. GOOD NEWS, the use of residential steam mops and spray mops on this product is allowed. Use it at the lowest power with a suitable soft pad, and do not hold the steam mop on one spot for an extended period of time (longer than 30 seconds). Refer to the mop’s manufacturer instructions for proper usage.
